Sunday Environmental Series -- Pollinator Habitats: What Can You Do?

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Royal Oak Public Library
Friends Auditorium

Event Details

Pollinators play a crucial role in our environment yet they are facing many serious challenges which are causing their numbers to decline. This workshop will provide the fundamentals of creating a pollinator habitat, or if you already have one, ways to improve it. What do you need to consider when planning and creating pollinator habitats? This workshop will include a visit to the library’s butterfly garden to see pollinators in action. Presented by Crystal Castle and Roxanne Plater, the master gardeners who coordinate and maintain the ROPL’s butterfly garden. Castle has seven years of experience working with schools, neighborhoods, and municipalities to build pollinator habitats.
