Event Details

The Royal Oak Public Library Butterfly Garden needs volunteers to help maintain the garden throughout the spring, summer and fall. Roxanne Plater welcomes volunteers, ages 4 and up (ages 4 through 11 must have caregiver present), to help with garden maintenance. Along with the gardening, you may spot butterflies and learn more about the plants and why they are included in the butterfly garden. The volunteer schedule is planned below:

Spring Cleanup: Saturday, May 4, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Spring Planting: Saturday, June 1, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Fall Planting: Saturday, October 12, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Fall Cleanup: Saturday, November 2, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Garden Maintenance
Wednesdays, 4:00 - 6:00 pm: May 15, June 26, July 24, August 21 and September 25.
Saturdays, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: June 15, July 13, August 3, September 7.
