Event Details

Join us for a double feature of "seed-y" films for our first-ever seed film festival.

A cadre of ten agricultural companies including Syngenta, Bayer and Monsanto control over two-thirds of the global seed market. Seed: the Untold Story (96 min.) follows seed-keepers–scientists, lawyers and indigenous people – who are fighting to defend the future of our foods.

The world’s agriculture is dependent on the ability of plants to adapt to climate change, pests and disease but today’s crops are grown from human engineered seeds and are losing their ability to adapt. Saving Our Food Supply in the Face of Climate Change (78 min.) follows Dr. Cary Fowler, the head of an international consortium, as he works to save seeds from every agricultural plant on Earth to preserve their genetic diversity.
